ABOUT THE AUTHOR.

Karl Wolzak was born in Australia to an Australian mother and Dutch father. He is married with two grown up children. His eldest child Erik once described his father in a school assignment, when he was 5 years old as “a human being who reads the newspaper a lot”. Karl lives in Perth Western Australia within close proximity of his lifelong love – the Wembley Golf Course. 

He has worked as a surveyor/cartographer for over 40 years. Thirty-three of those years running his own business, Resource Mapping Pty Ltd, that specialises in providing services to the exploration and mining sector in Western Australia predominantly in the area of mining title management and compliance. 

Karl’s hobbies include golf (a life-long passion), travelling, reading (maritime history) and sailing. He and his wife are very fortunate to own a holiday home at Airlie Beach, Whitsundays which among many of its attributes, is a sailing mecca in a tropical environment comprising 74 islands.
